Our Product team is growing and we’re looking for a Technical Product Manager who is ready to lead the evolution of our no-code platform. As our newest Product Manager, you’ll steer a passionate team focused on empowering small and medium sized businesses. 

About Method
Method creates web applications for small and medium sized businesses (SMBs). Our flagship product is Method:CRM, a CRM application made specifically for SMBs using QuickBooks and Xero’s accounting software. What sets Method:CRM apart is our ability to create customized applications for individual SMBs. This is all facilitated by a patented accounting synchronization engine. Method's no-code customization engine enables businesses to achieve their optimal workflows.

The Role
As a Technical Product Manager specializing in our no-code platform, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing our product strategy, including launching the next major upgrade of our no-code builder. You will lead the development and enhancement of features that enable users to create sophisticated applications effortlessly.

Analytics/Insights:
  • Measure and analyze product usage, and customer behaviours to derive insights for feature requirements and product roadmaps.
  • Conduct interviews with customers and stakeholders to gather qualitative feedback.
  • Maintain market awareness through networking to bring best practices to Method.
  • Perform competitive analytics to understand the market position.
Strategic Doer:
  • Develop and execute on roadmaps aligned with business goals, focusing on solving customer pain points.
  • Balance immediate customer needs with the company's long-term growth.
  • Drive the creation of detailed product requirements and facilitate grooming sessions.
  • Maintain a pipeline of future work, ensuring proactive planning.
  • Understand vendor/partner technology updates and incorporate them into the product strategy.
Product Ownership:
  • Triage and prioritize bugs, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders on resolutions.
  • Ensure availability for the team to clarify requirements and make decisions.
  • Maintain and share release notes, collaborating with marketing and education teams.
  • Provide backup support on the product team as needed.
Technical Skills:
  • Be a domain expert in using no-code tools.
  • Have a solid understanding of using and training AI tools.
  • Assist in writing and maintaining technical documentation.
Collaboration:
  • Foster personal relationships within the team and encourage collaborative efforts.
  • Evangelize the team's contributions across the company, maintaining a positive outlook.
Contribution:
  • Participate in creating a company wide roadmap.
  • Assist in improving software delivery processes.
  • Engage in strategic thinking to enhance company processes for efficiency.

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering successful software products.
  • Deep understanding of no-code/low-code platforms and experience working on products in this space is highly desirable. 
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of AI technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable product requirements.
  • Experience with foundational research in coordination with User Research and Product Data teams and knows how to ask the right questions to get good quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with experience leading and motivating teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Familiarity with SQL and Python is a bonus.

Hybrid Policy
At Method we are working on a hybrid schedule. All teams work 2-3 times each week from our office in downtown Toronto.

In your first 30 days, you will:
  • Onboard with the Product and Development teams, understanding Method’s values and collaboration culture.
  • Become proficient in internal communication tools and practices.
  • Acquire deep knowledge of the product area, goals, and team members.
  • Complete Method’s Bootcamp and set tailored goals for the quarter.

In your first 60 days, you will:
  • Dive into the product discovery and delivery process.
  • Begin prioritizing the no-code backlog to execute on the no-code vision
  • Start forming close working relationships with the development and design teams.
  • Initiate contributions to the product team's culture and best practices.

In your first 90 days, you will:
  • Lead projects that bolster the company's objectives.
  • Become a key player in your development team, contributing to significant feature releases.
  • Monitor the success of your initiatives and adjust based on company goals.
  • Collaborate on setting long-term goals and participate in a performance review.

Compensation: $110,000 – $120,000 annually.

Compensation

$110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
